RESEARCH INTEREST

‘BIG DATA initiative' is today’s universal research topic. How to handle the data? World Wide Web has enormous amount of accessible information and led to a rapid increase in the number of internet users. Again, this growing internet usage gathers much data. At this juncture, it is a big problem for getting the relevant information from the internet. In his doctoral thesis Prof.(Dr.) Boddu has done research on "Personalized Recommendation Algorithms with Collaborative Filtering”. In the beginning, the problem of inaccurate finding and falling recommendation quality of the prediction was discovered. Later stage, comparative analysis shows that Content-boosted Collaborative Filtering algorithm puts forward for better performance among the other comparative algorithms and hence, feasible solutions will be obtained using Content-boosted Collaborative Filtering recommendation methods instead of other recommendation methods.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Prof. (Dr.) Boddu has extensive teaching experience at under graduate and post graduate levels. He taught on Software Engineering, Web Technologies, Database Management Systems, Advance Data Structures, and C, Java with Data Structures during 9 academic calendar years with 2 semesters (2002-2009) and presently teaching Advanced concepts on Web Technologies and Database Management Systems for postgraduate students. With relentless efforts, he strives for the progress of the institution and guides the staff in accomplishing the vision of being a centre for technical and academic excellence. In all his activities. he kindles the curiosity of the students to achieve more by their smart work. He is credited with organizing Conferences/Workshops /Symposiums at the college which reinforces his commitments for academic excellence and shaping the future of the students.

Description about the invention: The Sensor Based Intelligent Robotic Arm (SIRA)  to Vaccinate People against COVID-19 helps the government/hospital to make use of the SIRA to vaccinate the patient in a contactless manner by automatically checking the health conditions of the patient using temperature, humidity, and face recognition sensors. The COVID-19 vaccine syringe helps to inject the vaccine to the patient by a robot. the robot arm handles the syringe in a contactless manner to avoid the spread of the viruses to the doctors/nurses. The resolvable arm helps to move/fold the robot arm in all the angles. The calibration unit measures the various values. The conveyor belt is assisting the robot by rolling out the syringe continuously one by one. The battery supports the continuous function of the robot every time. The temperature, humidity, and face recognition sensors are measuring the patient health values and decide whether the patient is fit to take the vaccine or not.  If the patient is fit then the robot vaccinates the patient else recommends for future dates. the SIRA control unit helps to monitoring and managing the successful functioning of the whole SIRA system. By using this SIRA, the government/hospitals to make use of the SIRA to vaccinate the patient in a contactless manner by automatically checking the health conditions of the patient using temperature, humidity, and face recognition sensors.

For profitable and successful farming and harvesting the farmer has to be aware of several factors affecting the agriculture such as temperature, humidity, UV radiation, wind direction, solar radiation, barometric pressure and rainfall. Proposed is a machine learning based intelligent sensor framework to forecast weather for appropriate crop cultivation. A set of sensors that are deployed at a focused operating distance in the farm is capable to provide weather analytics report to farmers. The analytics is performed using machine learning algorithms for data processing. The group pf sensors are placed at different agroclimatic stations and it collects variables about weather. The collected data is transmitted through LORA/RF/XBEE for processing and stored using cloud server to generate warning signals. Historical weather charts along with appropriate warning signals help famers for effective decision-making regarding crop cultivation.

 1. Invention Title: Prof. (Dr.) Raja Boddu has been granted the Patent “Plant Disease detection using Image processing techniques” with Application Number 202141047291 and published in the Journal IP Office Journal of the Indian Patent Office and the Patent Office Journal No. 44/2021, Dated 29/10/2021. The Publication Link: Intellectual Property India (ipindia.gov.in) (Exhibit 49)

Description about the invention: Disclosed is a technique for automatically performing disease detection using image processing. The technique includes receiving, from image capture devices, a first image depicting the first set of plants of a first unit and a second image depicting the second set of 5 plants of a second unit. One or more metrics associated with the first and second sets of the plants are measured based on the images. At least one difference in the first and second sets of the plants is detected based on differences in the measurement for the one or more metrics associated with the first set of the plants and the second set of the plants. In response to detecting at least one difference, additional images of the plants are requested from one or more 10 image capture devices to detect the presence of plant disease.
